BUFFERING AGENTS Designed to adjust and maintain water pH to a specific range-usually to a neutral range near 7. Primary function is to mitigate alkaline hydrolysis of pesticides due to a higher pH water. Secondary function is to maintain pH ranges good for specific pesticides. Glyphosate is most effective at a pH range of 5 to 6. Bidrin needs pH of 5.5 - 6.5 in order to optimize performance.
